Roman Chamomile

When in Rome …

To be perfectly honest, Roman Chamomile essential oil has a nasty a** smell to me and I like a lot of earthy scents including dried out horse dung. The fresh bloom however, has the smell of an apple orchard heavy with sun ripened fruit. Regardless of my personal assessment of the scent, it is incredibly effective as an anti-inflammatory agent and easing pain. There is a lot of anecdotal evidence and some scientific research that Roman chamomile decreases the feeling of stress and exert some mild sedative influence. Many blend Roman chamomile with other know stress busting-sleep aiding essential oils to help with insomnia and tension. I love blending in Roman Chamomile into blends that we use to address tension and anxiety induced symptoms
